Re: Winter 2016 - Free Child Sexual Abuse Awareness Training for Coaches/Volunteers/Parents
The Town of Foxborough Child Sexual Abuse Awareness Committee is once again sponsoring the Child Sexual Abuse Awareness Program called 'Darkness to Light'. This child sexual abuse prevention training is strongly encouraged for all coaches 18 years of age and older who come in contact with our boys and girls while coaching the youth sports programs and now is a field/facility usage requirement within the Town of Foxborough. After the horrific episodes that were reported involving Foxborough children in past years with a town employee, the town of Foxborough is determined to do everything possible to make it clear that Foxborough will not tolerate this abusive behavior. Although primarily designed to spread awareness, this training of all personnel allows the parents of these children the peace of mind that when their children are entrusted to a sports group's care, the group has done all in its power to protect.
It is very important that all coaches, assistants, volunteers and officials who have not taken the D2L training prior attend one of the following training classes:
Friday, Dec 2nd: 7:00 - 9:00p.m. - Chapel@ Mill Street Recreation building
Saturday, Dec 3rd: 9:00 - 11am. - Chapel @ Mill Street Recreation building
To register, please use the following link.

or visit our web-site at www.foxborocsaac.org for more information.
At the conclusion of the training, you will be issued a certificate of completion. Your support and participation can help to give our kids a better life in the future by protecting them today. Your voice is essential in saying, as part of our community, “Never again.”
Also, in an effort to spread awareness, please feel free to forward to your parents within your respective programs.
Thank you!
